In 2020, Kristina received the Regional Arts Fellowship. With this fellowship she worked with artist and mentor Jill Watkins to develop skills in bringing together community projects in Regional NSW. Kristina developed a series of dance and performance workshops (RECOVER/CREATE) for young people local to Biripi Country, who were affected by the 2019 bushfires. Out of these workshops emerged a new performance work I Saw The Animals Leave, exploring themes of devastation, loss and solidarity, through the groups collective experiences
